An 8 is a metaphor for the process of saying goodbye, accepting loss and the difficulty of “letting go” from a child's point of view. Between now and memory, creation and memory, the child travels with his grandmother towards infinity, an eight that rests. An immersive experience inside an inflatable tent that transforms loss into poetry, distance into contact and goodbye into an emotional journey that speaks of life, love and shared memories. An 8 is a story written by an adult to explain to a five-year-old child what it is like to leave the world. Without any certainty. Without any belief system.

Meet the company
Cia. Inflable was born in 2024 with the creation of its first show, MATZALI , under the direction of Montse Butjosa and premiered at Mostra Igualada 2024. Formed by Aleix Melé and Marçal Bayona, the company explores a multidisciplinary theater within its inflatable tent, a traveling theater that accompanies the shows everywhere. Wherever it goes, Cia. Inflable has the pleasure of opening the doors of its home to the public.
